Pandora & Prome

Knock, Knock. Who's there? Pandora. Pandora who? PANDORA & PROME foo'!

In all seriousness, I would like to take some time today to present a duo that is knocking on Montreal's door.

Pandora (on the right), also known as Omar Diouf, from Roma and New York, and Prome (on the left, obviously), a.k.a Alex Harvey from Northern Ontario, have set up camp in Montreal and are making some noise. Rather, they are making some damn good music.

The newly-formed duo (soundcloud.com/pandorapromemusic, myspace.com/pandora_prome) have been producing and remixing tracks, finding their niche in the minimal/tech/house genre. Their sophisticated musicality, their unique sounds, their passionate approach towards giving Montrealers something new to listen/dance to, and their understanding of what it means to stay true to what you do best, have earned them praise from the public, including myself.

I strongly entice you to listen to their original track Corazón and their remix of Dirty Vegas' Days Go By below:

If you haven't heard much about them yet, you will very soon. First, the music speaks for itself. Second, they have got so many new projects coming their way.

All I can say is that future work will feature collaborations with:

Lorenzo ''Kekus'' Belli, of MaximalMinimal.com
Nicolas Jaar (Wolf Lamb, Circus Company, Musique Risquée)
and Diesel Radio.

If you're interested in seeing what they can do live and in having a great time, they have an upcoming show @ Club 1234 on November 26th (Facebook event here). Also, they will make appearances at the Blue Dog, Diesel Store and Blizzarts very soon; dates are to be announced.

Check out their Myspace and their SoundCloud accounts.
