Duck Sauce- Barbra Streisand (video)

(vimeo.com) "Duck Sauce, the eminent producer duo comprised of A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, are primed to drop their second official single, “Barbra Streisand” on October 12th. If 3 million YouTube views of last year’s debut “aNYway” are any indicator, the official release of “Barbra Streisand” will be met with rabid anticipation as fan-recorded bootlegs have fueled blog excitement all summer.

"Barbra Streisand" continues to perfect the Duck Sauce sound, which joyously mashes classic disco house with forward-thinking dancefloor energy and expert production. A-Trak and AVH are bona fide DJ heroes whose team-ups are fueled by anything-goes samples, an almost childlike sense of fun, and 100% NYC attitude. This approach has made Duck Sauce fans-for-life out of partygoers around the globe, and will continue to convert anyone within earshot of "Barbra"'s instantly addictive, whistling hook.

For the video, director So Me (Justice, Kid Cudi, MGMT) uses the song to soundtrack a hyperactive, ecstatic New York City travelogue. Shot over a week of long nights out with A-Trak and Armand (including live footage from the Fool's Gold "Day Off" labor day block party), the clip is a pop-art adventure starring commandeered taxis and hotdog stands, sexy strangers, and a who's-who of famous friends: rappers, producers, indie rockers, graffiti writers and nightlife icons all take turns adding their own special sauce to the song, turning "Barbra Streisand" into one of this year's must-rewind clips.

Watch the video and see just how many cameos you can catch, then pick up the "Barbra Streisand" single (featuring striking sleeve art from Fool's Gold art director Dust La Rock) on October 12th."

"L.A. based virtuoso DJ and producer Exile will be performing a very special live MPC set in Montreal on Friday, October 1st at Blizzarts in support of his latest release AM/FM – a collection of original material directly inspired by his hometown's radio airwaves.

Exile’s early exposure to hip hop grew into the desire to create the music he loved himself. At the age of 18, Exile met up with rapper, Aloe Blacc, 16 years old at the time. With a one-button sampler and a four-track they formed Emanon and started making their own albums. Exile, then met 19 year old rapper Blu and together started work on his solo effort Dirty Science, featuring Slum Village, MED and Ghostface Killa. Together they also made the critically acclaimed classic, Blu and Exile -Below The Heavens. After producing tracks for artists such as Mobb Deep, Jurassic 5, Akon and Snoop Dogg; he continues to excel in the art of creating music with his first instrumental album entitled Radio. Radio immediately made an impact, and now we bring you AM/FM.

Yelle- La Musique

YELLE IS BACK...

"Bright, colorful and sassy artist Yelle is back with a new single « La Musique » to be released on Kitsuné on October 4th 2010!

Yelle (and producers GrandMarnier & Tepr) first came to prominence  in 2006  with the song "Je veux te voir" ("I wanna see you") becoming in just a few months a cult hit on dance floors from Paris to London and New York…

Yelle is driving the new non-aggressive girl power scene, delivering kick-ass lyrics while echoeing a certain nostalgia for the golden years of French electro-pop (Etienne Daho, Elli & Jacno, Chagrin d’Amour Taxi Girl or Lio) but all boosted with her own flavored groove and subtle vibe into some booty-pop.

Minitel Rose- 'Atlantique'

MINITEL ROSE

ATLANTIQUE

November 22, 2010

on K7! Records

www.minitelrose.tv
www.myspace.com/minitelrose

"Minitel Rose share Klaxons melodic sensibility, Boy Crisis lissom sophistication and, at their best (whistle-tastic single Magic Powder, a potential indie-electro Young Folks), Lykke Lis spare sound palette. They should ease off the shrill, clichéd Justice synths, but there is a bright glimmer of real promise here". - NME

"Sickly sweet. With their snazzy logo and oh-so-?80s retro look, new Nantes trio Minitel Rose are perched atop the crest of the next wave of hip Gallic electro-pop. Their debut The French Machine offers an elegant take on the Ed Banger aesthetic, but their plundering of Sebastien Tellier, Sparks and Daft Punk often turns sickly sweet". - UNCUT

"French electro trio Minitel Rose is back in the game. Two years after their critically acclaimed first album, The French Machine (Futur, 2008), Raphael, Romain and Quentin have teamed up with K7! Records for their sophomore release Atlantique.

Sexual Remixes

Sebastien Tellier announces
Sexuality Remix Album

Out September 10th via Record Makers

Featuring Remixes by A-Trak, SebastiAn, Kavinsky, Aeroplane, Boys Noize, Breakbot,
Penguin Prison
and more!

"Two years after its release via renowned French label Record Makers, Sebastien Tellier’s Sexuality still garners praise from around the globe- and now, we’re excited to announce the release of the official Sexuality Remix album, out September 10th!

SebastiAn started the campaign with his version of “Sexual Sportswear,” a classic, as many of his works tend to be. Critically acclaimed Italian/Belgian duo Aeroplane contributes a dancefloor killer of “Kilometer,” and Kavinsky reworks a stellar version of “Roche.”

German producer-extraordinaire Boys Noize also delivers a unstoppable Eurodance mix of “L’amour Et La Violence,” while A-Trak does it D-I-S-C-O on “Kilometer.” Other gems from Midnight Juggernauts, Breakbot, Arpanet, Donovan and Danger round out this brilliant remix album,
the only way Record Makers knows how."
