A few weeks ago, we were touring Australia for Parklife. TIGA was closing our stage every night, in front of 10,000 kids ready to rumble with him, to get wrestled to the ground.
And, as usual, he throws out his secret weapon, "TALK TO ME". The crowd explodes. That’s when I ran onstage screaming, "T-Dawg, what's that sound????"
The only reply I got was a big, creepy grin... Merci!

One late night, on the narrow streets of Melbourne, TIGA and I went out for a little boogie with the Bang Gang squad. Our Aussie friends know how to look after us. We spent the night at Sorry Grandma!, the hottest club in town, drinking Rave Juice and trying to understand drunk Aussies’ sub-English accents.

I knew it was the perfect time to ask TIGA about that insane track he was playing. Ask a drunk man something and you'll get everything you need. Everything.
"HEY TODAY!" he said. "Wait, the German guys responsible for "If I Was Wonderwoman" a few years ago?" I replied.
"Can I have another Rave Juice, P?" he replied to my reply. Nice.

Anyway, I now knew it was some Germans who did that Herbie Hancock-meets-LFO track!
I never gave up. We were back from OZ, me in Paris, TIGA in Montreal, iChatting like we often do. And that little "Transfarts" window pops up on my screen!

"TALK TO ME" became the highlight of my DJ set, the moment where you see stars in the eyes of the crowd’s head. Not only it is my favorite track of 2010, I even had the chance to remix it!
What the hell can you do with such a monster tune? Make something harder? Impossible. Make something better? Not possible. Make something faster? The opposite of possible. Make something stronger? The train has pulled out of Possibility Town. I wanted something deeper, more mental, bringing two worlds together, Detroit and Rotterdam.

Neon / High Food Festival!

Les gens chez I Love Neon et High Food connaissent avec exactitude les rudiments du métier. Depuis longtemps déjà, ils ont offert à tout ces friands amateurs de musique électroniques de la province de nombreuses soirées des plus réussie les unes que les autres. Que ce soit par le biais des artistes bien populaires du moment, ou par la venue d'artistes de renommées qui ont fait danser grand nombre de gens par le passé, leur champ d'action est infini. Et c'est tant mieux pour nous! Il n'est pas étonnant de personnes désormais d'aller consulter la programmation d'I Love Neon pour connaître quel seront les prochains artistes qui viendront performer en terre Montréalaise. Je le fais de façon instinctive depuis fort longtemps.

Que dire de ce Rusko. J'en ai déjà parlé, j'en reparlerai encore après ce petit post. Il est original, m'a l'air bien sympathique et possède un accent que j'aimerais tant avoir. Il a pris le temps d'ouvrir un compte Twitter à son chien. Il fait maintenant parti de Mad Decent, oh et son dubstep est tout aussi bon qu'auparavant, même s'il est désormais établi en terre Californienne!

Depuis plusieurs semaines déjà, Rusko fait grandement la promotion de son EP «Woo Boost». Bien que cette track ait plusieurs mois de vécu, nous avons la chance depuis hier de regarder son vidéo «officiel» un peu partout sur le Web. Coloré à fond, étrange et qui s'imprègne très bien du caractère énergétique de la pièce. Je ne peux m'empêcher de ressentir une forte influence de la bande à Diplo et de son psychédélique visuel avec Major Lazer!

En attendant la sortie de son album, je crois que cette vidéo a quelques choses pour attirer votre attention!

Kavinsky - Nightcall EP

The zombie is striking back ! After months of studio work on his forthcoming album, Kavinsky and Record Makers have decided to release 'Nightcall' as an apéritif. 'Nightcall' is the first song Kavinsky provides vocals for, a duet you might say, featuring the zombie and his girlfriend, a.k.a. Lovefoxxx from CSS!

The song was produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (of Daft Punk) and mixed by SebastiAN. The remix of this song, by a mysterious Dustin Nguyen, is an outstanding pop song that everyone can enjoy.

Avez-vous eu l'occasion d'écouter le remix de «second lives» des Bloody Beetroots? Quelle incroyable tribune qu'ils ont offert à un géant de la techno française : Vitalic.

Ces 2 Italiens s'éloignent -complètement- de leur son traditionnel rempli de distorsion pour offrir un sublime remix d'une chanson qui était déjà excellente au départ.

Thumbs up, sans aucune hésitation.

Musik für alle

Comme j'ai de la misère à contenir ma joie de visiter l'Allemagne! Il faut dire qu'au départ, je suis un grand fan de la musique électronique et du design graphique qui émane de ce pays. Des créations structurées, minimales et remplies d'infime petite subtilité. Donc, pourquoi ne pas vous suggérer l'écoute d'un artiste en provenance de Frankfurt, Allemagne?

M.In a sorti il y a quelques jours sur Desolat un délicieux EP qui s'intitule «Sing and blow at the same time». Excellent dans son ensemble, chaque piste offre un petit quelque chose qui en vaut grandement son écoute. Il est un producteur très «ouvert» si l'on prend le temps d'écouter ces multiples influences musicales. Son travail est rempli de référence au Jazz et à l'afrobeat, le tout résultant en un intéressant Tech-House qui a tout pour plaire.

Bref, un jeune artiste très talentueux, qui produit de la musique tout simplement exquise!
