RAS G (Los Angeles, BrainFeeder)
"Somewhere at the interstellar crossroads of Sun Ra, DJ Spooky, Strata East, and Lee “Scratch” Perry lies the incomparable musical mind of L.A. native Ras G (born Gregory Shorter, Jr.). Though he often affixes the group moniker “The Alkebulan (or Afrikan) Space Program” to his name, Ras G (a composite of his first initial and a testament to his belief in Rastafari) is the sole captain and crew of this spacecraft. Along with a 21st-century moxie, his collective influences make up what he describes as ghetto sci-fi—an extraterrestrial soundwave transmission of dub, white noise, glitch, off-kilter boom-bap, and sound bites."

(via BTSradio) To take a peak into RAS G's musical mind, check out the mix he did for BTS Radio below:
"A brief, brutal blend of illbient-flavored dubstep and ominous hiphop..." - The Stranger
"Ras G and artists he's mixing are like kids who take apart their favorite toys just to see how many different ways they can find to put them back together." - Chicago Reader
"Ras G is a commanding force in Los Angeles and a classic example of what artistry is. Always pushing his production limits and bending his sound to a point that really make you believe he's from outer space. His live shows have a reputation of blowing out sound systems and shaking walls to the point of deterioration.
Ras G, a defining figure of a new movement while in a class/world all on his own.
This exclusive set for BTS is only a taste of the destruction he can bring to speakers...Take cover."
