David Tort

Nervous Records – the iconic New York City house music label is about connecting the dots between the beat genre’s storied past and promising future. The latest release we have for you brings Spain’s superproducer/remixer/DJ David Tort to the United States for a unique mix that combines upfront tracks with some all time dance floor monsters resurrected especially for this compilation.

With a cache of 40 remixes spanning over a decade, the art of reworking a track is a David Tort speciality. He’s worked with many of dance music’s most respected names including Ultra Nate, Paul Jackson, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Gui Boratto (remix included on this compilation), Paul Harris, Bob Sinclar and Tiesto; adding his own choppy, minimal style to original works.

When it came time to mix his own instalment of the popular Nervous Nitelife series it came as no surprise when Tort requested that the compilation feature his remixes prominently. As a result, what you have here is not just another mix of tired tracks but rather a complete package that displays Davit Tort’s skill as a blender and a remixer (plus, many of these tracks are unavailable anywhere else.).

This compilation is already getting a fair share of buzz thanks to high chart positioning for three of its tracks on Beatport. “Winx - Don’t Laugh (David Tort Remix),” Jungle Juice - “Egyptian Magician (David Tort Nitelife Rework)” and Starkillers pres Nervous Disco Dollies versus Jan Solo – “Get Up (Everybody)” are getting eaten up by visitors to the dance music retail giant.

While not a household name within the American dance community David Tort is one of the most relevant Spanish artists taking hold of the global electronic scene. His international DJ career started in 2003 and he’s played at some of the finest big room clubs like Avalon (Los Angeles, USA), Pacha NY, Space (Miami), WMC (Miami), Amnesia (Ibiza), Sun Dance Music Festival  (Godskitchen, Canadá), among others. His exclusive personal style, straight to the dance floor, made him the only Spanish DJ to mix at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills.

Enough said, check it out for yourself:
