... avec JulianC et Barbarossa! (Duke of Swabia.com, fan page)

L'hiver arrive à grands pas. Finis les piknics électroniks le dimanche, finis les block partys du week-end... finis les gueules de bois le Lundi matin?

Oh que non! Wizestar (www.myspace.com/wzstr, fan page), composé de Stern* et Jarco Weiss, lance le DISCOUNT MTL tous les Dimanches soirs au Syndrome, 5777 St. Laurent. C'est le nouveau weekly à Montréal qui pique la curiosité de nombreux jeunes gens.

On peut les comprendre.
Avec de l'alcohol pas cher; shooters et bière à 2$; et de la bonne musique, comment ne pas passer une bonne soirée!
Stern* et Jarco Weiss, deux noms qu'on entend souvent parler à Montréal, sont en train de s'établir de plus en plus sur la scène Montréalaise, avec un son unique et propre à eux, incorporant le hip-hop et l'électro.

À partir de demain, Wizestar invite chaque semaine un (ou des) guest DJ(s) pour compléter le lineup musical de leur soirée. Demain, Dimanche le 18 Octobre, JulianC m'accompagne derrière le DJ booth, avec comme but de vous faire danser toute la nuit au son de l'électro.

As you all know it (or should!), last friday was one of the best party I've ever attented. Maybe because Liam, Conor and Ray from Saint-Woods are crazy awesome event organizers and DJs or just because Aoki was an outrageous entertainer that night... Well bottom line is, I want to put up front one of the biggest collaborator of this successful event; VintageFrames.com.

PeCTRNK @ Knightriders! + HB

This week, there are two "knights" you should take note of. First, like every Thursday, it's Knightriders! on the Top Floor of Club Saphir (St.Laurent). The guest this week, joining residents La Débauche and JulianC of Duke of Swabia behind the turntables, is none other than Duke of Swabia's other DJ: PeCTRNK.

Knightriders! is keeping the ball rolling after welcoming secret guest Teki Latex to the top floor last week. PeCTRNK will be diving into House, Tech-House and Minimal-Tech to make you dance and beg for more. Cover is 5$, girls drink for fr** until midnight and boys get a free shooter, but if and only if you pay all the way upstairs. Look up, you will see the Knightriders!' "K" logo. Now, that's not all for Duke of Swabia this week, PeCTRNK will continue his week-end festivities the following night where he has invited JulianC as a special guest, this Friday, at his weekly residence, the HB BAR ROOM, a little up north in Sainte-Thérèse. It's totally free, and is, in my view, one of the coolest places to hang out on a Friday night. A sophisticated bar/lounge, the HB is perfect for those who wish to spend a more calm evening, to have a few drinks, mingle and enjoy the ambiance and great music. Well not for long; we're already in the beginning of the month of September and you guys (and ladies) know what it means....

But before everybody drops their head in the closest math book, there is an event not to miss...
Not just because me and Barbarossa (yes, my dear friend and blog partner, yes, the kid releasing the hottest mixtapes since June...) will be there and will offer a duo DJ performance, but also because it is outside, there will be a lot of people, and it's so downtown that it can't be anywhere but near your house!

Finalement!

Apres 5 semaines d'attente, je decide enfin de me joindre a la belle petite famille de dukeofswabia.com. Pour ceux qui ne me connaisse pas encore, lisez le post juste avant celui-ci.

Mon but ce Vendredi est de vous trouvez quelque chose a faire pour cette fin de semaine. Pas question de rester assis devant sa tele un Samedi; vous etes a Montreal, vous le savez bien...
